About us

BookASlot was built to solve a simple problem: booking a local service in South Africa usually means a phone call during business hours, a WhatsApp message that gets lost in a busy inbox, or turning up and hoping there's a slot free. We wanted a better way for small and independent businesses to manage their bookings, and for their customers to book without the back-and-forth.

Our mission

To make it as easy to book a haircut, a fitness class, or a car service in South Africa as it is to order a meal online — while making sure the businesses behind those services get paid fairly, quickly, and directly.

Our approach

• Supplier-first payments. Suppliers connect their own banking or PayFast account and get paid directly — we don't sit between suppliers and their money.
• Built for South Africa. ZAR pricing, local mobile number handling, WhatsApp-first notifications, and South African public holidays and provinces baked into scheduling.
• No lock-in. Suppliers can export their customer, booking, and revenue data at any time.
