These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of BookASlot (the "Platform"), operated from South Africa. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use BookASlot.

1. What BookASlot is

BookASlot is a booking marketplace that connects customers ("Customers") with independent service suppliers ("Suppliers") who list and manage their own services, availability, and pricing. BookASlot is not a party to the service agreement between a Customer and a Supplier — we provide the platform that facilitates discovery, scheduling, and (where applicable) payment.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

3. Bookings and cancellations

• A booking is a direct arrangement between a Customer and a Supplier. BookASlot provides the scheduling and payment infrastructure but does not control, and is not responsible for, the quality, safety, or delivery of the underlying service.
• Cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show terms are set by each individual Supplier and shown on their profile. Where a Supplier hasn't published specific terms, a reasonable-notice standard applies.
• Refunds for once-off payments and retainer subscriptions are handled between the Customer and the Supplier, in line with the Supplier's stated policy and applicable South African consumer law (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, where it applies).

4. Payments

• Where a Supplier has connected their own PayFast merchant account, payments go directly to that Supplier — BookASlot does not hold or process customer funds on the Supplier's behalf.
• Where EFT is used, the Customer pays the Supplier directly using the banking details shown on the invoice. BookASlot is not responsible for payments made to incorrect details, or for a Supplier's failure to reconcile EFT payments.
• Suppliers are solely responsible for their own tax obligations, including VAT where applicable, arising from services booked through the Platform.

5. Supplier obligations

Suppliers warrant that they hold any licences, permits, insurance, or qualifications required by South African law to provide the services they list, and that the information on their profile (pricing, availability, banking details) is accurate and kept up to date.

6. Reviews

Reviews may only be submitted by a Customer for a booking they actually completed. Reviews must be honest and not manipulated, purchased, or coerced. BookASlot may remove reviews that breach this or our Usage Policy.

7. Platform fees

BookASlot's commission and any supplier subscription fees are set out at sign-up and in the Super Admin-configured platform settings. We may change fees with reasonable notice to Suppliers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, BookASlot is not liable for any loss arising from: services provided (or not provided) by a Supplier; disputes between a Customer and a Supplier; inaccurate information supplied by a user; or downtime or technical issues with the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, our Usage Policy, or our Abuse Policy, at our reasonable discretion.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of BookASlot after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
